What the hell is this all about then?

Most of the folks that I’m trying to get this across to around their early 40’s. Having just mastered the www and now know what a web site is,how email work and how to download all the free music you need for life.

So when I hear that web 2.0 is the new Internet I have to find out more about this. If you have never heard or know what web 2.0 is then I have a surprise for you…ITS MASSIVE!

In a nut shell,Web 2.0 is a social method of keeping in touch with friends family and its a great way to make and meet 100’s if not thousands of people from all over the world. Its basically brought the world a lot lot closer.

I’ll put this in simple terms to those that still don’t know what the hell I’m talking about here. Have you heard of myspace , facebook or you tube? Most people who surf the www will come across these sites at some point or another. These sites offer you, the marketer or general interest type person, the means to communicate and reply information to folks.

Now these site are ok for getting a small “hello” or a “Guess who got married recently” type message. I do not receommend it for mass marketing. Use these facilities for find folks who you haven’t seen in a while,who have moved away from your area etc etc.

They can been a very useful method of getting back in touch. You will find that people will want to know what your up to now days and what do you do in your free time. Maybe this is then a good time to show an opportunity your working on.

At the end of the day Nobody likes to sold to….so don’t do it. It will drive the away from ever being your friend again.

 If you’re trying to publish a regular Free Journal Articles ,e-mail newsletter for your customers, good news! There’s a wealth of content out there that you can use for free — poor, average, good, and occasionally excellent. Why is this content offered free of charge? Two reasons:

1. Article directories can earn revenue from Google ads placed on their site as part of the Google AdSense program (www.google.com/adsense). This has stimulated the growth of thousands of look-alike Free Journal Article sites that receive very little traffic. Others are niche sites that carry articles in particular vertical categories.
2. Websites can be promoted effectively through articles. A link to the author’s website contained in each free article serves to:  (a) bring targeted traffic through a well-designed, intriguing “signature” or author bio at the bottom of the article and (b) raise Google PageRank by creating more incoming links to a website. These links point to the author’s website from the article’s presence both on the article sites and on the websites that use the free articles.

If you’re a marketer, I can hear your brain beginning to compute wildly:

1000 article sites X 1 link to my site X 15 articles submitted = 15,000 links to my site

Moreover, article submission tools make article spamming extremely easy. Hold on, it’s not that simple. Submitting your article to hundreds or thousands of article sites can actually hurt you, since Google spiders are finely tuned to spot spam in its many flavors. You’re much better off to submit your article to five of your favorite article sites and a couple of niche sites, and resist the temptation to blast your article to every pathetic article site on the planet.

To help you see which sites you might consider submitting to, I’ve listed below the top 25 article directory sites by their Google PageRank (10 being high) and Alexa traffic rank (1 being high). A disclaimer: The Alexa rankings are flawed and seem volatile, but give a relative measure of traffic to a site. Google PageRank (PR) is notoriously inaccurate, but can be seen as an indicator of Google’s relative trust in a site — sort of. The list is not exhaustive and includes both general article directories and some popular niche directories with an Alexa rank of under 50,000. Sites are listed in ascending Alexa rank order, with the PR 6+ sites boldfaced for your convenience.

Many people start out in various ways on the internet to start either a new career or part time business.

Some do this as a hobby with an intent to progress further and some take it a little more serious and aim to quit their day job and work from home full time ( Like me - and you if you follow my blog regular )

One of THEE biggest things I hate to see is URL’s that go on and on and on.

Is is sometimes an affiliate site of some kind that your promoting like “Hi everyone go to my site at http://www.greatsite.com/wrtvxu/wuxuxu/nshgps/1132ed7dn0/msj86.html  and see my great product”

Does that look and sound profession to you?

I know the very first thing I do when I go through my inbox is look for all the URL’s that are ike this. They are then filed in a special file ….you may have heard of it - DELETE

This is a No 1 tip by any professional marketer out there today - GET  A DOMAIN NAME OF YOUR OWN.

A typical .com is around $10 per year…….$10….its a no brainer for the amount of interest that you get from folks who will show an interest in your domian and your business card will be not the size of an A4 sheet of paper.

Getting a domain is really easy and I’m going to show you how to do this and then how to make your affiliate site or what ever site your promoting look like your domian each and every time.

There are a few domain companies out there today however I choose www.godaddy.com evertime.

This is not a “Go there and I’ll get an affilate commision” statement and I don’t work for this company,its just my own personal preference to use and is so easy.

 1, Register for an account at godaddy.com

2, Search for your prefered domian name ( go for a .com if possible and remember to keep with a theme of your product and one that you and others will remember)

3, Register and pay

4, Go into the back office and click on forward - domain - cut and paste your LONG domain in the box provided and then hit ok

You long domain will soon then have its own professional looking .com

HTML Code for Web Page Design

What the hell is all this about?

This is a language that needs to be taught in schools now days..Internet Marketing for the Masses?

As and when you start to kick off your Internet marketing career and unless your already an expert in HTML you will need internet marketing help.

I feel you need to have a little amount of understanding of what goes on in the back ground of your web page especially if your doing a blog like this one. We all need internet marketing help.

However, If your really a rookie then there are tons of ways you can still get a web site up and running in no time , get a payment button set up and promote.

THEE best way to start any of this is affiliate marketing.

Again you can spend hours searching the net looking how to do this and you will eventually found out how to do it however, my recommendation is to invest in yourself and follow a course that specially been designed for this purpose.

The HTML is done for you and the sales letters have been done for you.Then whilst you go about setting all this up go and have a quick read up on HTML.

Don’t go mad on this though but at least understand what and how a hyperlink works.

Hi www Land …Darren Webb Here with another update.

The power of video is sooooooooo under estimated.

Video is one of the easiest ways to get the message across to anyone about anything.

As part of my coaching I’m branching out into video marketing which can help also to promote your best affiliate web sites

Now I’m not up to Michaels professional standard just yet however I’ve recently place a video done with free software about this blog….!!

All I did was downloaded the Cam Studio…its totally free ( although they do ask for a donation )….Its really easy to use. you’ll be up and running in 5-10Min’s.

Use the FULL screen capture mode and then record your desktop. Choose the option to record your voice via microphone ( so either a headset needed or a stand alone mic ) and then go for it.

Its a little bit nervy at the start especially if you’ve never recorded your own voice before but just play around with it for a while and then when you feel comfortable go for it.

I then uploaded my video to Windows Movie Maker. This comes free with Vista I think however I have the link above for you to download the XP version from Microsoft.

Once there you can import your movie and edit various things. If your not sure how you do that then your best bet is to go to You Tube and type in windows movie maker. You’ll then get a ton of folks showing you how to use it.

Once all this is complete you need to upload the video to your favorite video web site.

I use Tube Mogul. Its FREE and you can upload to multiple sites with the click of one button. You must have an account at the various sites first which will take about 15-20 to complete..however then its totally runs its self.

See how you get on with this and please let me know ow your first video creation went.
